Babylon is the nickname of a colorful street in the Kreuzberg section of Berlin, where people from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds live in the same place at the same time but inhabit parallel worlds, hardly interacting with one another. They are not aware that their lives are about to change dramatically...

Ridvan, a young Kurdish man who has applied for political asylum, enters this world. He would like to become a citizen of Babylon so that he can have a chance with German girls. Of course he wants to fulfill his sexual fantasies and satisfy his curiosity – but he also has a very practical goal: to marry a German girl and thus acquire legal status in Germany. He receives advice from his ambitious cousin Fatima, a young lawyer. She is practicing her profession so successfully that she has so far not found the time to lose her virginity. This puts her, as a modern young woman, in a very embarrassing situation...
